Objects have history, even ordinary objects like porcelain pitchers, wooden buckets, or old coins bear the marks of the people who have used them or loved them. Some history is obvious, like this antique silver cream pitcher. Some history is personal, like talking with the farmers who grew this orange at a market. I paint these still lives to remind me of my history – the treasures I've found, the adventures I've had, the places I've seen, and the lessons I've learned.
